Erin Chavez joined Atwood and Malone in April of 2025.  Ms. Chavez was admitted to the bar in 2019. She began her legal career  providing appellate legal research and writing support on issues including the Medical Malpractice Act, the Prompt Payment Act and the Unfair Trade Practices Act; assisted in the drafting of various motions and briefs in New Mexico State and Federal Courts in cases on remand from the New Mexico Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals. Since then, she has transitioned to working on representing clients in state and federal court asserting claims for violations of civil rights and defending claims for wrongful death, personal injury, medical malpractice and property damage.
