Atwood, Malone, Turner & Sabin, P.A. traces its origins to the legal practice founded in 1911 by Colonel Jefferson D. Atwood in Roswell, New Mexico. Col. Atwood was a prominent force in the early development of oil and gas exploration and drilling in Southeastern New Mexico. Atwood & Malone was created when Ross L. Malone and Col. Atwood formed a partnership in 1937. Ross Malone was widely respected, serving as President of the American Bar Association in 1958, and later as Vice President and General Counsel to General Motors Corporation, Deputy Attorney General of the United States, and as a member of the American Law Institute Counsel. Continuing this legacy, the attorneys of Atwood, Malone, Turner & Sabin, P.A. have developed a broad based civil practice in the New Mexico state and federal court and agencies, and seek to provide the best legal services possible.
